CSU Cat Behavior Statue

This big kitty is a interactive art piece at the CSU campus. As you approach it from different angles it will either hiss, meow or purr. My part in this project was to model and provide the geometric cat. I made a base cat in Zbrush, posed it and then in maya used the retopology tools to put the triangles where they needed to be. I experimented with decimation master and the results weren't quite right so I ended up doing a lot of it by hand. Once the model was done it was exported out and used to cnc route the cat out of foam. It was then assembled, strengthened, painted and the technology was added.
